Class Presentation

The first project I worked on was a class presentation for a Year 12 biology class. This project focused on the health impacts of the enhanced greenhouse effect. It covered various topics related to health, including the effects of increased temperatures and extreme weather events, as well as the consequences of air and water pollution. This presentation was a team effort; a friend and I prepared and presented it to the class. It helped me gain important knowledge about these concepts and also improved my presentation skills.

Both my teammate and I used our laptops and collaborated through online discussions to complete the project. We used several tools, including the internet for research and Microsoft PowerPoint to design and create the slideshow with creative details.

Biology Knowledge Competition

Another school project I worked on was a team-based competition that required extensive preparation. In 2024, I was selected to join the biology knowledge competition after succeeding in the trials. This bio battle involved a team of three, two of my seniors and me, where we had to learn as much as possible about biology. In July, we competed for the first time against other schools at the University of the South Pacific (USP). Thanks to our hard work, we qualified for the finals, which took place on October 5th.

During our preparation, we used various tools such as online research materials and practice tests to deepen our understanding of challenging topics. We also received valuable support and insights from the Chemical Society of the South Pacific (CSSP), which helped us improve our knowledge and strategies. Ultimately, we proudly secured second place and brought the trophy back to our school.

Video Making

One of my most recent projects was a personal one for my father’s 50th birthday celebration. My family wanted to make this milestone truly memorable, and my task was to prepare a video showcasing my father’s journey from childhood to the present.

During the preparation, I used tools such as Google Photos to collect memorable pictures and CapCut to combine them into a slideshow. The video highlighted special moments, including my father cooking for us, taking selfies, and enjoying fun family times.

Besides making the video, I also helped with decorations, the cake, and organizing various events for the party. In the end, the celebration was a wonderful and joyful occasion for everyone involved.
